I’m an electronics technician. Since leaving the military in 2009, I’ve spent my career maintaining critical electronic and security systems — the kind where “we’ll look at it Monday” isn’t an acceptable answer.
Websites aren’t that different from any other system. They need someone checking on them, keeping them current, and catching small problems before they turn into emergencies. That’s the work I’ve done for seventeen years.
I started Southern Uptime because I kept seeing the same thing: a small business pays good money for a website, it looks great for a year, and then it slowly falls apart because nobody’s maintaining it. Plugins go stale. Backups don’t exist. Nobody notices it’s down over the weekend.
Maintenance isn’t glamorous. It’s checking things, keeping them current, and being reliable. That’s what I’m good at.
